Do I choose a size?
No. You measure on the product page, and we pick the size. Fit & measuring →
Can I skip measuring and order my usual size?
No. Every pair is made after it is ordered, in the size your measurement gives. That is also why a wrong size costs half to put right.
Socks or bare feet when measuring?
Scan: socks are fine. Paper: bare feet. Either way, standing, full weight on the foot.
My feet are two different lengths.
Measure both and type both. The longer foot decides the size. If the difference is more than 8 mm, we look at the pair by hand before making.
Do the shoes stretch?
A little, in the first week. Crazy about 2 mm; Smooth, Suede, Nubuck and Waxed pull-up about 5 mm. The size we pick does not count on it.
What are the five leathers?
Crazy: waxed, matte, keeps marks, gives the least. Smooth: even surface, medium give. Suede: soft, napped. Nubuck: fine velvet surface, matte. Waxed pull-up: waxed, lightens where it bends. Metallic: smooth with a metallic finish. All A-grade cow leather.
What is the sole?
Buffalo leather, 5 to 8 mm. One type on every model. Thickness varies a little from hide to hide; both shoes of a pair come from the same or near-identical thickness.
Can I wear them in the rain?
No. Leather upper, leather sole: they are not made for wet days. Summer outdoors, winter indoors — home, office, school. If a pair does get wet, wear it while it dries; it takes the shape of your foot.
Do you repair?
No. If the sole wears through, a local cobbler can add a rubber or leather sole on top of it.
Can I change the size after ordering?
Write to us with your order number right away. Making starts after size confirmation, so there is a short window.
Can I change the colour or model after ordering?
Same answer: write at once, with the order number. Once the leather is cut, no.
